While best known for Billboard Hot Dance Club Play hits “Sunrise”, “Ocean Drive” and remake of Roxy Music’s “More Than This”, Madison Park is downtempo duo, DeAnna and James Cool (yes, “Cool” is their real last name). The duo stormed onto the scene with their first Single ,“My Personal Moon”, quickly hitting the Billboard Sales Chart causing the release of their debut CD, Boutique, to be released earlier than planned. This was March, 2004.

With the release of Boutique came new opportunities as Madison Park continued to garner new fans. Tower Records, Virgin Mega-Stores, and Best Buy as well as many Indie record stores were essential music destinations, where retailers embraced the CD. With these stores giving extra props to Boutique, Madison Park credits them profusely to this day, as this level of support significantly helped increase their reach as a brand new artist. Much of this help came through distributor Red/SONY, also generously assisting Madison Park as they navigated new territory. In fact, so much so that a publishing deal with Bug Music (now BMG/Chrysalis) came out of charting success seen in the four Tower New York stores at the time. Through the promotions of Brad Lebeau’s PRO MOTION, Boutique became “the Most Added Album to College Radio the week of its release”. Several tracks from Boutique received placement on all Dell computers at the time as well as the Apple iPod and Garnier Fructis website.

The sophomore album, In the Stars, was released June, 2006. MTV NewNowNext stated “Madison Park’s In the Star’s is a pop-flavored treat. Give ’em a spin!” As a “Top 10” iTunes Dance Album for multiple weeks, In the Stars produced more Billboard hits such as “I’m Listening” (also making the Billboard Sales chart) and “More Than This”, which became the second most-played internet dance track for 16 consecutive weeks following Kaskade’s “Steppin’ Out”. Madison Park performed at ‘Sunfest 2006’,  held several Tower Records in-store performances and appeared in a variety of nightclubs to further promote the album.

December 9, 2008 marked the release of Madison Park’s third album, Another Yesterday. Again, substantial radio hits came from the album including title track “Another Yesterday”, and “Come Out And Play”. Later that year Madison Park produced a remix of Nina Simone’s “The Look of Love” and Billie Holiday’s “I’m Gonna Lock My Heart” for Sony Legacy. “The Look of Love” was featured in the film, Sex and the City, as well as the film’s soundtrack. “I’m Gonna Lock My Heart” made appearances in several tv productions such as Nip/Tuck. Then with the launch of a new remix contest through Peace Love Productions Acid Remix they met Dutch dance producer, Beechkraft, through his contest winning mix of “Another Yesterday”. Madison Park and Beechkraft went on to produce several Singles together including Billboard Club/Play charter “Sunrise”.

In between their full-length albums, Madison Park released various Maxi-Singles and executive-produced four volumes of a Compilation series titled New Sound Theory (Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4) as well as a variety of other projects.

In 2015 came MIX. This album was a collaboration between Madison Park and Beechkraft including a remake of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”. The first Single from MIX was “Parts of Me” which appeared on the World Chill Lounge Charts for 16 weeks. A remix package for “Parts of Me” was released May 2016 and a music video for the track was shot in Kenai, Cooper Landing and Talkeetna, Alaska. The next single from MIX was “Closer” which achieved break-out #4 on Billboard Dance Charts and gained strong radio support from major markets.

January 20, 2017 Madison Park released “Don’t Let Go”. This new Single was referred to as ‘Madison Park going back to their roots”.  Again a remix package hit and a music video was produced including shoots in both San Juan, Puerto Rico and Toronto, Canada.

December 1, 2017 marks the release of “Send Me an Angel” where Madison Park teamed up with UK-based artist, Groovecatcher, to remake the classic by the band Real Life. This super-chill version found it’s way onto many chill and lounge playlists. June 8, 2018 remixes for “Send Me An Angel” were released; also finding an exceptional number of playlist ads for the remixes. For many house music DJ’s it was considered to be the “hit of the summer”.

September 20, 2019 Madison Park teamed up once again with Groovecatcher to produce the Hypnotise Me, EP. This 3-track EP also included “Scintillating” and “Calling & Calling”.  The nod to classic spy themes and international intrigue were well delivered through all three songs.  Both “Hypnotise Me” and “Calling & Calling” appeared on a George V Cafe compilation, executive produced by Oliver Drignon.

As of September 2020, the duo released a new Single “Sensual” along with a remix package for the track. “Sensual” received a whole new level of radio support, something that artists always strive for in order to find new fans. Madison Park has made it repeatedly known that DJ’s and Radio Hosts, along with music fans, have been a critical component in their musical lives since the beginning; and “that it will always be something you don’t take for granted while you hold it close to your heart.” The Official Lyric Video for the Original Mix was released October 12th. While working this new Single to Radio, Madison Park headed back into the studio once again and produced “Saving You, Saving Me” which was released 11.19.21. On June 24, 2022, the Jan Areno Remixes were released and the “Saving You, Saving Me” Official Music Video appeared on Promo Only, Apple,  YouTube and others soon thereafter.

While continuing the momentum, Madison Park discovered an unreleased version of their Roxy Music remake, “More Than This” (The Bossa Nova Mix). This version wasn’t a part of the original set of remixes when their remake became a Billboard hit on the Hot Dance Club Play Chart. This remix that was released ‘from the vault’ hit streaming platforms on 08.18.23 showcasing smooth, tropical bossa music feels.

Early 2025, a somewhat new inspiration and direction hit and they released a dance-pop Single titled “before” in March. This sound hit fans differently. Some embraced it on an exceptional level, appreciating the surprise pop energy, while others supported it when asking for that more traditional Madison Park vibe to return. But before Madison Park knew how “before” would hit fans, that more traditional sound heard in “beat by beat” was already well underway and the new Single recently hit platforms on 08.08.25. The reception from both fans and music industry colleagues has been overwhelmingly positive across the board. The remixes for this upbeat house track, “beat by beat,” are coming soon. So please stay tuned. xx -mp-
